STUART, Florida- Florence Nightingale Express arrives in Okeechobee to give sports physicals to students in the area. She will be in front of the VNA office at 208 SE Park Street from 11:00am until 3:00pm on a first-come-first-served basis. Staffed by a nurse practitioner and a clinic coordinator, this 38-foot mobile clinic comes with a fully equipped exam room that can be transported to those in need all across the state. “Florence,” as the big blue bus is affectionately nick-named, is funded by the Visiting Nurse Foundation; she and her team are devoted to advancing access to healthcare, and this trip takes them one stop closer on the road to assisting those in need.
